MONICA BURROW

Monica Burrow is primarily a landscape painter who works in acrylic. Born in Vancouver BC, she has spent time exploring throughout the local mountains, BC, the Yukon, and the western USA, looking at the subtleties and the variety in the natural landscape.Her work shows an attraction to colour and composition. The outdoors is a source of endless inspiration. Monica is drawn to the play of light over the land, the formations of clouds and weather systems, details in nature, and rich colour - either actual or imagined - often attract her to paint a subject.

Monica Burrow has been making art for over 35 years. Her post secondary education began with a BHe at the University of British Columbia, and her best loved courses were those around creativity and design. Monica is an Exhibiting Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and belongs to the South Surrey White Rock Art Society, the Richmond Artists Guild, and SouthDelta Plein Air Painters. She currently shows in several galleries in south western BC and splits her time between Delta BC. and Galiano Island.
